We get it. Budgets are tight. Every dollar counts. Most of us are measured either by revenue or cost savings. The incurred cost of being hit with a data breach for small and large corporations rose by double digits over the last five years to almost $4 million per breach. However, U.S.-based data breach victims suffered a much higher loss rate: $8.2 million per event. Then there’s Equifax who’s data breach will total at least $671 million. Plus this doesn’t even take into account the brand reputation damage and losses.
